Re: New Byzantine Roman Micronation

As of today we have 37 members (including Flavius Vedius Germanicus, the other co-founder of NR) and 4 Senators. Until we have the Magistrates Offices figured out we plan to appoint a "Steward" (or as I'm trying to get a single Curator instead) to be the temporary head of the organization....

New Byzantine Roman Micronation

... Cassius of NR fame has set-up a (what he calls an experiment) new micronation (he has learned his lesson about mistakes made with NR he says). It is based on the Eastern Roman Empire (i.e. Byzantine Empire). It's called Byzantium Novum. I have decided to get in on the ground floor of his "e...

Re: Spartacus TV Series - Quick Review

It reminded me of "300". At least special effects wise. The first episode to me was just so-so. I hope as the series progresses it will get better. I still liked HBO's "Rome" better.

Re: End of the Year; Call for Officers

Salvete Omnes, As I said before I will not be standing for another term as Curator. That said, my health has greatly improved over the last few weeks. My Doc is happy about it and I should be able to return to limited duty around the second week of this month. I can now walk almost normal now (whic...

Re: End of the Year; Call for Officers

Salvete, I'm very sorry I haven't been any help over the past four months. I have had numerous medical problems during that time. My problems are a Deep Vein Thrombosis (i.e. a blood clot) in my leg and having to start taking Insulin for my T2 diabetes. I have been off work for almost four months a...

Re: NR's Sulla

Go ahead as far as I am concerned. I seems to serve no purpose other than causing trouble now. It was OK in the beginning when Sulla first returned to NR but not now. Lock'er up!

The "Back Alley" is a very, very, very unofficial NR Yahoogroup where anything goes. Nothing is off topic there and some people in NR think it is a official list and it's not. Some people get really pissed when they are talked about on it because discussions held there are usually "no...

Salvete, Due to the historical connections between the Caelian Hill and the real Gens Servilia, I probably would not move anywhere else. The Servilia gens was one of the Alban houses forcibly removed to Rome and was settled on the Caelian Hill by Tullus Hostilius. So my being at X Via Appia I'm ...

Salve, As Curator, I ask that you do not involve the SVR in any way with the host's of/or the program "Tomorrow's World". You can as a private citizen do so but, as Aldus Marius stated leave the SVR out of any discussion you have with anybody associated with the Host's or the Show. I d...
