I'll leave it open for discussion so that anyone I "recruit" can come here and post as well. This is about bringing new people, right?

It just hurts. Lots and lots of feelings and emotion, but pain is the worse. We spent these past three years building something I thought beautiful. Not perfect, but what is? And now, nothing. Nothing but pain.

Er, that website you linked disagreed with you. The [j] sound is the modern English Y. Learn IPA. The modern English J is actually [dʒ].

Dolorosus

My friends, a very long relationship I was in, longer than my time here, has suddenly and arubtly ended. I will still work on my proposal, it *is* almost finish, but my heart is now dead, and it will be a struggle. However, I did promise it to Marius, and you will receive. I just need some time alone.

But the J doesn't sound like a modern English J. Also, you'll rarely see J in Latin texts, and never in Ancient Latin texts. It was a medieval invention.

Why do we need this standardization you ask for?

Ianus - Yah-nuhs

You're thinking of macrons: āēīōū - they were not used often ever, but are now an increasing trend for books marketed towards students/schools. You won't find them on Roman inscriptions.
