Piscine, I like the time you proposed to link between America and Europe. What does everyone else think?

Salvete,

The authorisation was granted after Marius became Consul. I realise that they had the power to negotiate small contracts and such, but long-standing diplomatic treaties? Surely that would be the work of a Senatorial commission?

Marcus Scribonius Curio Agelastus.

Salve P. Scriboni,

Welcome to the Societas! It's good to see another Scribonian around. That Latin compendium sounds like an invaluable tool - in what other fields do your interests lie?

Salvete,

Numeri, welcome to the SVR! As Piscinus mentions, there are plenty of colourful characters here to get to know. Where do your interests lie?

Piscine, am I that temperamental? :?

Bene valete,
Marcus Scribonius Curio Agelastus, a guy who has never worn a kilt. :)

Salve Mari!

Erm... Texian frontier? How do we relate that to the Roman world? :?

Well the flippant side of me suggests that * = asterisk, which would assume that the riddle was referring to the series of books.

Salvete Aldi et Lucia,

Congratulations on your new names!

(Would Aldi be the correct vocative, given the unusual nature of the name?)

Salve Draco,

This seems good. To a certain extent, it answers the concerns of those worried with the previous restructuring, without (as far as I can tell) raising new problems.

Salve Lupe,

ah, that's a great series. Have you read it before? If not, you're in for many surprises... Not least of which that you have another nine books of the same size to read, and it's not even finished yet...

Bene vale,
Marcus Scribonius Curio Agelastus.

Salvete omnes,

Currently I'm reading James Minahan's "One Europe: Many Nations". A fascinating book, about the many different ethnic peoples of Europe. More relevantly, I'm making my way through Friedrich Munzer's great work also.

Marcus Scribonius Curio Agelastus.

Salve Lupe,

I'd love to be able to say it was a typo... but... it was actually one of my many deficiencies in Latin.

Bene vale,
