The 'normal' thing would be the other way round indeed. Most people tend to feel depressed in winter, due to the lack of sunshine. If one is experiencing the opposite, it is not a bad thing. One who is orient-minded, like me, might explain it through yin and yang theory.
Our vital energy is influenced by heaven and earth, Heaven qi and Earth qi, if you will. Now, in summer, heaven qi is yang, positive. We take in a part of that yang energy, but should our vital energy become too yang, or positive, we might try to compensate. And indeed, this happens through our emotional mind.
This is one possible explanation, my friends...
