It is a rather dark place to be in, don't you think, mi Orce?

But hey, at least we can see this one...

maybe you should create your own weblog. Its free you know, there are no payments required. You can pretty much talk about anything you want.
believe it or not, I like being in dark places, the night. I'm not a real day person, but more of a night person.

Why do you assume I'm depressed because there is one message about death? I do admit that I was going through a period of feeling depressed when I wrote that thing. Still I like to think that I did made a point wether or not I was depressed or not.

What you said, never felt like you were mocking me. Don't worry about that. I was thinking about the whole issue and it was haunting throug my head for most of the summer, so I decided to write it down, to clear my thoughts which it did.

Salvete,

Talking of depressions and the like, I have always wondered whether I am one of the only people here who feels more down and depressed in the summer rather than the winter? Not that I feel depressed right now, it was just a general observation.

Draco

Salve Draco

To be honest, I don't know why that is. This summer is probably the first time I ever had to deal with a depression, which usually comes bite me in the ass during the winter.

Salvete, mi Draco et Romule

The 'normal' thing would be the other way round indeed. Most people tend to feel depressed in winter, due to the lack of sunshine. If one is experiencing the opposite, it is not a bad thing. One who is orient-minded, like me, might explain it through yin and yang theory.

Our vital energy is influenced by heaven and earth, Heaven qi and Earth qi, if you will. Now, in summer, heaven qi is yang, positive. We take in a part of that yang energy, but should our vital energy become too yang, or positive, we might try to compensate. And indeed, this happens through our emotional mind.

This is one possible explanation, my friends...

Salvete,

I agree, I tend to feel more down in the summer than in the winter, although in my case I think that's probably still linked directly to the weather - I'm the kind of guy who could walk out in a blizzard with a shirt on, but I tend to melt if the temperature goes above 25C. :D

Bene valete,
Marcus Scribonius Curio Britannicus.
