Basic Sources for Alexander

Postby Anonymous on Fri Jun 04, 2004 10:58 pm

Here are two good and detailed source lists:

http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/Thread/277879

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/gu ... 80-6682359

The first one is by Kallistos Alexandros - a great Alexander expert - ans is from AncientWorlds Alexander group. The list gives the primary sources - not forgetting the Attic orators as the other one does.

The second is for "writing a novel" about ancient Greece. A very good list, I´m presently thinking of acquiring the Cambridge Greek course which is on it.

Khaire Nero,

Okay, thank you for the links... I recall that when I was aedilis, the adding links part was the most tiresome, heh. But having a great links database never hurts.
