“Michelle”, written by Paul McCartney, on Rubber Soul, now is translated into Latin for your aural pleasures. I left the French, save the tagline, intact. Also, you should be able to sing along with the original, unlike many other “translations” of popular music. Enjoy!

Yes, yes, I know that “ma” is not real Latin. There are liberties with every poem, and this is one I’m taking.

Mi Mari, that was easy! It took me no longer than two hours to do that whole poem, though I do now find a mistake. I also have "Something" which only took me less than an hour to do, but am going to look it over later for polishing. Total time, I kid you not, 40 minutes. Facillima!

Not to gloat, but translating the Beatles' isn't that difficult, considering the wording used. All one has to do is be familiar with enough small words to make it fit the original song... It's not like it's any Horatian ode.

Can I turn down thy laurel crown?
