Numismatics again

Postby Quintus Pomponius Atticus on Fri Mar 05, 2004 9:55 pm

Salvete,

On a few coins of Domitianus (the Flavian emperor, not the 3th century chap mentioned in an earlier post), I find the expression "A POP FRUG AC", meaning "a populo fruges accepit". Does anyone have an idea what this could mean in this context ?

Valete,

"The fruits were accepted by the people" ? :P

I honestly wouldn't know. Mus, our local numismatics expert, may know.
