True I was generalizing as with any country people are still individuals and atheist's can be found amongst the hardcore Catholics. You could say I am sort of one; but not really, (I am too superstitious to be an atheist!)

And of course my knowledge of Calabria is not a result of ever being there (my family cant afford it) but from being exposed to my moms side of the family who are very very traditional, heck my mom is a dual citizen and my grand parents still own land in Italy, plus I have relatives there.

My dad's side is less Italian and more Italian American.
