Salvete, new amici; tell us a bit about yourselves! But this is no ordinary Intro forum; you will learn quite a bit about the rest of us too. >({|:-)

Salvete!

Go here (http://www.innergeek.us/geek.html) and find out. The test takes about 15 minutes.

I posted the link on the message board of the student club I am active in as well, and there no one topped my score . I'm looking to do better here.

My score was 28%.

So what's a poser? 4.34% probably because I know some Latin and play chess (of course I have more than one chess set, how else to prepare for a tournament?)

Salve,

I think 'poser' means that you're a geek wannabe.

Salvete,

I'm in the same area as Curio and Orcus, 14%

As Piscinus said, Latin and chess will do that, but Howard Phillips Lovecraft ? What's so geeky about him ?

Cthulhu fhtagn !

Hmm, yes, perhaps I can understand

Ah, I guess the question "did you ever throw geek parties" killed you, no? Or were you dumped at a Star Trek convention?

I think it was my knowledge of more than 25 elf-names from the oldest times, or was it because I'm a member of too many fan clubs? Or maybe because of my interest in wearing multiple watches around one arm, or rather the long conversations I hold with my plants to make them grow because I know more people by the internet than I do in real life, what will have something to do with my intrests for TGC?

I think it is my quest for world dominion that killed me  ... and sooner or later all of you! .

...Ahh.

"Pride goeth...", nonne? ...P'r'aps the reason Locatus was able to anoint himself the Supreme Geek of SVR is because I hadn't chimed in yet. Get a load of this...!!

58.77712% ... Extreme Geek

That's fer hacking, programming, roleplaying, freelance homework, comics, earth sciences (all), video games (old ones), SCAdianism, and having a Web page up pre-1996...and knowing my way around spots on the Internet that haven't been visited since. Most of the above I've been doing for at least twenty years.

Oh, yeah...and I was a Little League mascot. In my Roman gear.

And on "Nerd Day" at my high school, everyone dressed up as me. (I was strangely honored by this...)

And when those same former classmates found themselves calling me for computer tech support, you should have heard the worship-cum-apologies!!

...See, amici? --Life does work out, sometimes.

In Übernerdly bliss,

Salvete,

12.03156% - Geekish Tendencies. Surprisingly little I must say. Could that be due to the fact that this test is rather computer-science-oriented ?
