Salvete!

Does anyone here know where (part of) the famous votive inscriptions from the temple of Asklepios in Epidaurus are published (with the dreams and how the people were cured by the god)? I need a book or a part of a series to use as a reference in a footnote.

Thanks in advance

Salve Mus

I checked at the Theoi Project at www.theoi.com on the cult of Asklepios and concering his cult at Epidauros, the following authors wrote about it: Aristophanes' play Plutus 410 & 620
Pausanias 2.26.1f
Suidas 'Aristarkhos'
Aelian On Animals 9.33
The following authors refer to the temple of Asklepios at Epidauros or just refering to Epidauros
- Plato: Ion
- Strabo's Geography 8.6.15
- Pausanias' Guide to Greece: 2.26.1-2.28.1, 2.10.2-3, 2.29.1, 3.23.7, 5.11.11
- Cicero: De Natura Deorum 3.34
For the quoted sources, go to this page: http://www.theoi.com/Cult/AsklepiosCult.html
Hope it helps

Did you find nothing in the great collections of Greek epigraphy (IG, SEG etc.) ?
