Rubicon by Tom Holland?

Postby Tekeness on Sun Jun 18, 2006 9:14 pm

I hope i'm posting this in the right place. If not I apologize.

I was wondering if anyone has read Rubicon by Tom Holland . Apparently the author is a novelist writing a non-fictional book, so I thought it may be easier reading than other history books. Does anyone know if this book is any good? Thanks!

Rubicon?

Salve, Tekeness!

The Collegium Artium et Litterarum covers "Roman arts...and the modern creative efforts inspired by them." We have everything here from computer-game reviews to the Roleplay thread. Rest assured, you are definitely in the right place!

My favorite "Rubicon" treatment is the historical-drama version by T.H. White, who usually chronicles US Presidential elections. I haven't read Holland's version, but if I do get hold of it, I'll be sure to post a line or three here. >({|:-)
